Strait of Hormuz: 18% of LNG Exports to Global Gas Market

LNG exports from liquefaction projects in Qatar and UAE, net of intraregional marketing of LNG cargoes to Kuwait and UAE, averaged 18% of total LNG exports to the global gas market during the first five months of 2025.

The average volume of net export flow from Qatar and UAE during the period was equivalent to ~300 mmcmd or ~10.6 bcfd of natural gas. By comparison, the average volume of LNG imports into the natural gas market perimeter of NW Europe was just 9% more.
